Wanderlust Morocco: Terms & Conditions

I. Definitions

  • We,” “Us,” “The Company,” or “Our” refers to Wanderlust Morocco.
  • “Travel Arrangements” encompass the services we plan for you.
  • “Price” represents the total cost of your travel package.

By booking with us, you, as the lead person on the reservation, confirm that you have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of your group. You also agree to handle payments and documentation for your group.

Our agreement with you follows these terms and Moroccan law. Our agreement begins when we send you a confirmation invoice and receive your deposit.

II. Booking, Deposit, and Final Payment

  • To book with us, you can use our website’s Contact Us page. Once you approve the travel plan and arrangements, you’ll need to pay a 30% deposit securely through Stripe.
  • You must pay a 30% nonrefundable deposit to confirm your booking.
  • If you book less than six weeks before your travel begins, you’ll need to pay the full amount.
  • After we receive your deposit/full payment, we may make changes to services, routes, or accommodations if necessary.
  • You must pay the remaining balance at least 35 days before your trip starts. If you don’t pay on time, we may cancel your reservation and charge cancellation fees. Please ensure that passenger names match passport details and that you meet visa and passport requirements.

III. Making Changes to Your Booking

If you wish to make changes to your booking after receiving our confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate your requests, but changes may not always be possible. Requests for changes must be made in writing via email by the lead name on the booking. In addition to the costs associated with the changes, an administration fee may be applied. If we cannot make the requested changes for any reason, you may choose to proceed with your vacation as planned or cancel, incurring cancellation fees outlined below. Please note that many boutique hotels we partner with have a one-month cancellation policy and require full payment during that time, potentially resulting in additional charges for last-minute changes.

IV. Cancellation

In the event that you need to cancel your Morocco vacation, please notify us in writing via email. Cancellation of your travel arrangements will be effective upon our receipt of the written cancellation notice. Cancellation fees may apply, depending on the timing of your cancellation, as it incurs costs for us.

Cancellation penalties are determined based on the number of days before the start of your travel plans that we receive written notice:

  • To cancel your Morocco vacation, you must inform us in writing via email. Your cancellation becomes effective when we receive your written notice. Cancellation fees apply, depending on how much notice you provide:
  • More than 35 days’ notice: You’ll lose your deposit plus any non-refundable deposits we paid to suppliers (e.g., hotels) during peak seasons.
  • Between 34 and 21 days’ notice: You’ll be charged 60% of the total price.
  • Less than 20 days’ notice: You’ll be charged 100% of the total price.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations.

The prices for private group bookings depend on the number of confirmed seats. Changes in group size may affect the remaining group’s cost.

We may need to make minor changes to your reservations due to circumstances beyond our control or for safety reasons.

V. Travel Insurance

It is your responsibility to obtain and maintain appropriate travel insurance covering personal accidents, expenses, and damages occurring as a result of various circumstances, including but not limited to medical/repatriation fees, loss of baggage, partial or complete cancellation of travel arrangements, flight cancellations or delays. In fact, it is a condition of booking with us that you hold adequate travel insurance, and we may request a copy of your policy certificate for our records. We can recommend reliable travel insurance providers for your Morocco trip upon request.

We also recommend that every participant should possess a policy number and emergency phone number of their insurance company or at least necessary required information about the company. Please be aware that we will not be liable for any costs incurred by you or any member of your party before, during, or after your tour as a consequence of inappropriate or insufficient travel insurance being purchased.

VI. Our Responsibility and Liability

  • We organize travel services but cannot be held responsible for high-risk activities. We recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover all activities on your tour.
  • We accept liability if your travel arrangements don’t match the description provided when booking or if they are subpar (excluding cases of death, illness, or injury). In such cases, the maximum compensation is twice the amount you paid for that part of the travel arrangements.
  • We are not responsible for events such as delays, loss of documents, or adverse weather conditions. In unforeseeable circumstances, we may need to change transportation, accommodations, routes, dates, or start times without issuing refunds.
  • Participants must follow safety guidelines and adhere to the instructions provided by our guides and drivers.
  • Please note that the information on our website is indicative and subject to change.

VII. Hotels, Private Drivers, Special Requests, and Assistance

  • The quality of riads and hotels in Morocco may vary based on local standards mandated by the Ministry of Tourism. Accommodations listed in your formal itinerary are subject to availability and may be substituted with similar options in the event of overbooking during peak seasons or circumstances beyond our control. Room reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit or full payment, and any changes will be reflected in your final itinerary, with notice given of any resulting cost adjustments.
  • Please note that your private driver/host cannot serve as a tour guide, as this constitutes a distinct role in Morocco’s tourism regulations. You have the option to engage both a tour guide and a private driver for your entire trip or opt for a private driver and local tour guides as needed, particularly in medinas such as Fes, Tangier, Volubilis, Essaouira, and Marrakech. While our intention is to assign the same driver for the duration of your trip, circumstances beyond our control may require us to make driver changes with short notice. Moroccan law requires the use of seat belts while traveling in vehicles, and failure to comply may result in fines imposed by Moroccan authorities.
  • While we strive to accommodate special requests received in writing at the time of booking, such as dietary preferences, room preferences, or special facilities, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled, as they are not considered part of our contract. Therefore, no compensation will be provided if such requests cannot be accommodated.
  • As a local travel company, we are committed to assisting our guests during their stays in Morocco. We pledge to provide appropriate information, assist with communication, and make alternative travel arrangements as necessary. While we will make every effort to accommodate flight delays or cancellations, we are not responsible for arrangements outside the scope of our contract.

VIII. Documents and Visas

Travelers are responsible for obtaining and carrying the necessary documentation, including a valid passport and any required visas.

IX. Force Majeure

Force Majeure refers to “Unforeseeable and Extraordinary Circumstances” or situations beyond the control of the party invoking it, resulting in outcomes that could not have been anticipated despite all preventive measures. Such situations may include but are not limited to, strikes, social events, accidents, natural disasters, death, terrorist activities/threats, transportation issues, loss of items or documents, adverse weather conditions, pandemics, wars, and loss of luggage or other belongings. In the event of Force Majeure, we reserve the right to cancel or alter your travel arrangements.

X. Handling Complaints

If you encounter any discrepancies during your trip or have any complaints, we encourage you to promptly notify your driver/host/guide/contact or relevant provider (e.g., hotel receptionist) to address the issue or make necessary alternative arrangements. Alternatively, contact our emergency number at +642108098187 (WhatsApp included). You can also reach our customer service within two weeks of your return, providing as much detail as possible for a prompt investigation and resolution of your complaint.

XI. Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy governs the use of your personal information. We take your privacy seriously and will implement all necessary measures to protect your personal data. Read more about our Privacy Policy.
